Green Pink Tip Torch, Euphyllia glabrescens

Green Pink Tip Torch, Euphyllia glabrescens, are magnificent hard corals that are interesting and colourful coral to keep. They feature long, fleshy tentacles, each tipped with a glowing eye. These tentacles sway in the current, adding movement to the tank and showing off their colour.

Euphyllia, such as torch corals, can display an array of captivating shades. Including green, gold, orange, pink, purple, yellow and blue, often with contrasting tips. The diversity in colouration is truly remarkable, since both genetics and the environment play significant roles in determining appearance.

These corals are the prime example of how much variation can be expressed by the same coral under different conditions. Depending on a few factors, (ie light spectrum and exposure), these corals can appear to have either predominately blue tips or pink tips.
